This extremely well preserved large Ukiyo-e ( woodblock print) by world famous Japanese artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi is in remarkable condition for its age.

Yoshitoshi ( 1839-1892) is regarded as the world's best ukio-e artist. The art of ukio-e (woodblock printing) started in the 17th century and fell out of fashion

during the 19th century when modern printing methods were introduced.

This work is from the Thirty two Daily Scenes series

Two titles as to artists form

Titles are:  Looks happy, Mannerisms of a Tokyo Geisha in the Meiji Period
